Downstairs in the light and spacious cottage is a large open plan living area that has a gorgeous lounge with comfy sofa and armchair, as well as double doors opening out onto a Juliette balcony. There is also a well-equipped kitchen complete with integrated appliances, and finally a dining table suitable for all occasions. Upstairs, there are two en-suite bedrooms, one with a French style double bed and another double/twin with handy zip and link beds. Both bedrooms have modern en-suite bathrooms that feature fired earth tiles and antique washstands.

Outside guests can take advantage of almost an acre of grounds featuring an apple orchard, a courtyard terrace and an abundance of secluded placed to enjoy a picnic or play games. Walk to the garden’s boundary and you will soon discover a small river that flows down to the village.

Kittiwake Cottage and Kittiwake House are ideally located for exploring the North Devon coast. Braunton itself is a hive of activity, with various small shops to browse and several restaurants to enjoy evening meals.

Only a five-minute drive are two of the county's best-loved beaches. Croyde and Saunton are perfect for experiencing a number of popular water sports, sandcastle building and complete relaxation on miles of golden sands.

The North Devon coast surrounding Braunton is also ideal for enjoying exhilarating headland, beach or moorland walks. The famous Braunton Burrows, the largest sand dune system in England, is only a short walk from the cottage and great for enjoying a local stroll along the estuary.

Golf at the championship standard Saunton Sands course and horse riding at Shelly's in Chivenor near Barnstaple are also easily accessible and great alternative ways to experience the beauty of North Devon.

Cyclists will love the area surrounding Braunton with the Tarka Trail leading to Barnstaple easily accessible from the village, and providing a car-free path, perfect for beginners and families with young children. For the more experienced cyclist, the country lanes around the pretty village of Georgeham are ideal and can be combined with a visit to two of North Devon's best pubs, The Rock Inn and The Kings Arms.
